herring and shad

Im going fishing in richmond thursday and was wondering if anyone is catching any big catfish or striper up torward richmond. My plan is to go shad fishing for a while then try out some bottom fishing. If anyone has any suggestions on where to hook into a striper or a 30 pound catfish I would greatlt appreciate it.

THAT is MY plan too ......today and tomorro.......Catfish is the EASY part for me.......the shad thing is all new

good bite tonight...kids caught a 30 and 34 and dad landed a 48 w a 26 striper to finish off the night... had zero plan of attack just fished some spots I like
