I mean on Sunday......can't edit the title apparently
Ok here's the long and short of it. I few of you remember back when Clancy and I spent a wnter gorilla pickeral fishing the Severn River AKA running through backyards to get to spots, sneaking down on private community launches, wading for miles to get into certain coves..etc... These were the days prior to both of us having serious commitments that tresspassing arrests would bother;-). Well anyway Sunday was a chance to relive the old days. We had planned to head to the upper reaches of the Chester in the Miss. SRRKC canoe and try for some white perch. After throwing the canoe in the back of my truck and realizing a 5.5 foot bed doesn't accomodate a 12 foot canoe very well we chickened out of the drive all the way up to Millington. (BTW anyone know the law on how far things can hang out of one's truck?) Instead we strapped the bad boy down, stopped at Anglers to grab our licenses and and bucket of Minnows up the B&A Blvd we went in search of a community launch that may get us into some productive fishing waters. Just like the old days. So I called every SRRKCer I knew had river acces and after getting no response we settled on a community that we thought we'd be able to pull it off. I won't mention what community we stopped at or what area we fished but the long and short of it is the water was terribly muddy. We fished minnows under bobbers and managed one measely white perch on the day. But reliving the days of a few years ago was fun enough. The launch and recovery of the canoe was pulled off flaulessly and I don't think anyone even noticed our pressence. Gorilla fishing at it finest. See ya'll tonight.
Tight lines,
E
