looking for a boat friendly motel close to OI thanks in advance
Its been a while, but off season like now, the Armada was good to us. No facilities like wash down, but overnight parking and extras like cots and bath supplies were not a problem.
Recent experiences would be more helpful if someone would sign on here??

i use to stay at the manor motel . rt 12 ( beach road ) in nags head. good and cheap and clean. it has been 10 years since. that is all i got:yes:

Try the Comfort Inn South (252 441 6315 ) Its in south Nags Head, big parking lot & closest to OI. The Ramada Inn ( 252 441 2151 )in Kill Devil Hills is in the middle of the beach & has a nice restaurant & bar. The Fin & Feather (252 441 5353 ) is just across the bridge from Pirates Cove Marina & has a public boat ramp on the south west side of the bridge. Its about 5 miles from OI by water. You can follow the PC charter boats out.

I can definately go with the Fin & Feather. I wasn't sure they were still in business, but they were great not too many years ago. Reasonable, convenient location, plenty of parking room and good facilities.

Armada or the Dolphin motel next to it. Mi. post 19or so. Just south of the old Jennettes pier. Both on the beach rd. and close to ramps on the sound and at OI fishing center. ( Both are free to launch)
