sorry ferris is ditchin class right now, but I think Spicoli (sp?) just fell out of his van! there are a lot of head boats in the VA beach area, I don't wanna get shot at but there is one that sails out of rudee inlet, another in the lynn haven area, and some of deez nutz go way offshore on head/charter boats so with a lil searchin on da forum you should be able to find somethin

I think there are a lot of professional fishin guys/girls on this site, but most cater to the higher end charter business.
I am just a rank amatuer squirrel to some of these guys, and thats fine long as I get my nut!!

sorry missed your title, togs are fairly plentiful in the bay now, and the hot spots tend to be outside the mouth of the bay (oceanside, big boat for big water) but they still get good sized fish along the CBBT (14 miles of artificial reef) or close to the concrete ships is also a regular spot.
Let me save you a lil trouble, these guys on the site don't mind sharing general locations in their reports, but to ask for exact locales is all but unforgivable, I will probably be banned for a week just for what I said!!
try a thread titled "recommendations for a tautog headboat" or somethin like that.

let me know if you need more info....

We braved the wind and tide to set up "on the rocks" [tunnel spine] Tuesday afternoon. Slipped a few holds on the anchor but finally stayed put. Just a few bites while the tide was ripping, but once the tide slacked (and the wind built some more) we limited out in an hour. Turned out the anchor hold was augmented by somebody else's anchor/rode. Fortunately was able to raise both anchors but had to cut that rusty old relic off.

Exciting ride into Little Creek captured on video.....Today I feel like I was hit by a truck.
