Mixing deep cycle and Starting bat.

I think I heard somthing that you should not mix the two types of batterys when they are bridged together. Anythoughts?

A starting battery to start the motor and a deep cycle for everthing else is a good idea. Just use a battery switch.
A battery combiner is a also good idea. That's the way I do it.
