Usually upriver around Jimmy Deans or running down near Deep Bottom. Can't get too specific.

Seen a big catfish caught right across from the ramp last year while fishing on the pier there. Actually right directly across from the pier by what looked like a jettie there.

If your in a boat .You can catch a decent cat anyplace in that stretch of river right now .Make sure you have some good bait . They have herring and Eel at most sporting goods stores in the area .Catch a few bream and mix it up a little and you will score if your rigged properly .

Bad news about Jimmy Dean
HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - The fire that gutted Jimmy Dean's Varina home in eastern Henrico County has been ruled accidental. Still there's no word what actually started the fire.
Dean and his wife Donna were able to get out of house after it broke out last night. But three firefighters were hurt while battling the blaze.
Firefighters had to use the boat dock at nearby Osborne Landing as access to water to battle the blaze. It took Henrico fire 2 1/2 hours to get flames under control -- a long time allowed fire to leave the interior of the home mostly gutted.
Henrico Fire faced many challenges not exclusive to the Jimmy Dean home. They find these battles when answering calls in many of the county's more rural areas.
