Team Hookin up is back and looking to repeat!:bigfish: I sent my money to skip today. I also have a friend Jeff P on TF that will be fishing the tourney this year.

Look forward to seeing everyone.

Bring fish or photo showing length

Hey guys, since I believe DNR does not allow rockfish kill tournaments before May 1, perhaps we should change the language to "bring photo showing length" only. I don't want to see anyone get busted at the weigh-in. It sounds like the boys in brown have been scanning TF as of late.

By the way, I've got a dented, paintless, skunked Defender's Choice I plan on awarding to the winner...

Oh well in the past your tournaments and club were open to everyone.. I didnt know things changed. Ill tell Jeff nevermind. Are we still considered members since our picture is on the members thread even though we dont ever make it to meetings?

As far as I know, Team Hookin Up became official UBBB members last Fall. You made your bed when you had the choice of which team to fish for. Maybe they have a fishing contest going on next weekend that you can participate in. Oh, and you owe Team Clancy $ from a year or so ago. Seriously. :nono:

Uncljohn.... no reason to be a ( | ):nono:. I didnt know there was a rule you couldn't be a member for UBBB and SRRKC... I am one of the founding members of UBBB and was when I fished tourneys with you guys the last few years. Since last year was our first fishing the SRRKC vs UBBB tourney maybe my plan was to rotate each year?!?

I also fished in of the first tourney's you guys did and remember Larry waling around with the clipboard and he said to fill out our info to become members...

Im pretty sure I sent a check to Clancy for that tourney we couldnt make the weigh in a few years ago. I remembering bmailing him back and forth to get his address to send the check. IF not I apologize and he can let me know. I didnt purposely stiff him.

If you guys dont want us to fish the tourney until we make a meeting and buy a round for everyone fine... just say so. If I cant be in the club b/c im also a UBBB member fine say so... Jeff and I were planning on coming to the next meeting since we just found out he had to buy a round for everyone to become a member. Just would have been nice to know that these rules were put in place.

I thought SRRKC was an open friendly club and I'm feeling alot of animosity.

Fellas I gotta agree with Jaime on this one. You all know my feelings on this and whenever we have posted info regarding our tourney's the last line usually read, "and as always all are welcome." I don't feel like you should have to be a member to fish but a member SHOULD WIN:eek2::D Here that fellas sabotage is not out of the question:D. Ahh I'm just kidding but in all seriousness my vote is "if you pay, you can play." However our membership fees are spelled out now and stand seperate from tournement fees. We aren't an elitest group of stuck up fisherman, this is for fun. We welcome everyone and anyone with no discrimination towards folks who enjoy trolling or chumming:eek2::D. You wanna get serious go fish a tourney that costs more then $10 a man. Not blasting anyone or trying to get on anyone's case for their opinions, I just wanted mine heard and think maybe it would be best to put this to a vote. Good to go.

Yeah, just because trollers are lazy and bait fishermen stink is no reason to look down our noses! :D

Hey, SRRKC has gotten crushed by UBBB for the past 3 years. And when the chips were down on the table and SRRKC was looking for good quality fishermen in our club to help us recapture some sense of self-worth, you chose to go with the other team. That's right. When we NEEDED you, you decided the other team was more worthy of your participation. Guess that move paid off since UBBB won again.

Folks, I’m sure that everyone here is well intentioned, but my observation is that many clubs reach a point in their growth where they implode, explode, divide or fizzle. And those events usually relate to an argument about club rules. I hope…and I’m confident…that the SRRKC can avoid such a fate.

As a founding member, I can state that the criterion for becoming an SRRKC member has changed over the years, and the fact is that we have no written bylaws. And that’s fine. It’s worked well over the years. We’re a fishing social group with a little optional public service tossed in, and some fun, very low key tourneys. In my opinion, that’s the SRRKC’s strength and the key to it lasting and growing.

In the case of this Rockfish get together or any SRRKC event, my suggestion is to let anyone who could possibly be construed as a member participate in it, as long as they follow whatever event rules are in place.

I agree whole heartedly only I'm not the lawyer around here and I do in fact suffer from ADHD and at times get off the subject. But that in a round about way is what I was trying to say. Now can we at least exclude the chummers.:eek2: Like Shawn said they stink:D:D
