Has anyone seen many shad on the shad cam this season? I haven't seen very many at all. Maybe I just missed the prime run or I'm just not looking at the right time but I'm not seeing shad or anything else. Last year I saw eels, catfish, lampreys, bass, and all kinds of shad. This year only about 6 or 8 shad out of a whole lotta looking.

I spoke too soon Jamie and Ken, there's shad all over the shad cam now. You mentioned me being old, you got that right. I was coming up this coming weekend but I had a check up on my abdominal aneurysm a couple of days ago and it had grown, so now I have to have surgery, next week maybe. The bummer is: I was having a stress test to determine how fit I was for the surgery and they found blockage near the old ticker. So I guess if I had gone on my trip, I may have not made it back, especially sense you aren't supposed to lift much when you have an aneurysm. Anyway I plan to bonce back and be fishing before too long. Y'all catch some for me.

Good luck to both of you. On one of the Soprano episodes, Tony Soprano says sarcasticly, ¨Ain´t no cure for life¨ The writers hit the nail on the head.

Shad Cam (http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/fishing/shadcam/pop.asp?pop=3) There you go.ReddD. As for going all out... I had lung surgery in the 80's and my wife ask the surgeon if I could do normal things in the outdoors and he said go on and live your life and not to worry about what can happen. That's pretty much the way I was seeing it, go hell bent, all out, but they say they can repair the aneurysm and then I can go pretty much all out. Thanks BB and Ken for the prayers and good luck, and Jamie, I know you, you'll be fishing out of your casket.
