Been nailing tons of Stripers all spring run. Fished near Fishers using plastics on top and caught over 50 fish before noon. We couldn’t handle the big ones with the light tackle we had. 8lb test with 40”+ fish doesn’t work out that well. Re spooled with 10lb test and released many. Headed back up there tomorrow for more of the same.

I live in Middlebury and fish the entire state and then some both salt and sweet water. Headed down to VA this week.
Most of my time during the spring and fall runs I launch from Barn Island ramp in Stonington.

Nice Fish! Fished out of Barn Island last year while home on leave about this time of year and we killed the stripers trolling the Channel before sandy point with the tube and worm. Don't know if you have tried it before but it is crytonite for stripers. Troll as slow as you can and they just knock it dead! They have them at king cove and pink seemed to be the color last year.

I never use less than 20# test on fish that size for C&R.Long fights put too much stress on the fish.
