Be careful when you go into Boaters World with all their sales. There are items that are not hanging on the proper rods/racks....therefore the price may seem like a real deal and a great deal when you take to 20-30% off.
I bought a Dexter Russell knife and checked the receipt and didn't appear i got the discount. When i questioned the sales person she said I bought a different item then was hanging on the rack. I told her to either give me the price as noted on the rack or take it off entirely. I got the price on the rack.
Just beware with all the ciaos…….

Check the prices in a catalog or west marine before commiting to a purchase. The liquidator has bumped the prices up. There are some discounts available just do you homework prior to buying and when in doubt take the item up to the cash register and have them scan it beforehand.

Just know the prices before you go there. Some items are 30% off listed price and then some dicounts are already taken off. They did have 6 Penn 50VSW $599 for 30% off.

I was there yesterday. You need to be careful if the price is already marked down or not. Got some great deals on wire and electrical stuff. I needed an above deck tank for the skiff and the price was marked way up with a 25% discount - still cheaper at West Marine. If you know how to do math and pay attention at the cash register there are some deals to be had. Store was starting to look a little empty.

Before the liquidators got their greedy nose pickers on the stuff, I bought a new AM/FM/CD for the boat for $50. List price was like $139. Went back a week later and the greedmasters had marked the remaining ones up to $149.99....I also bought 2 Okuma stand up trolling rods for $35 each, list $79.99, 2 weeks later they have them marked at $99.95. I haven't been back since..
All I can say is there must be a lot of really stupid shoppers out there for liquidators to be able to do this over and over again. they did the same thing at Circuit City and I have seen it many times before...Put the words GOING OUT OF BUSINESS in front of SALE and it's like people become slack jawed idiots...

I have been in there twice since the liquidators took over and am yet to find anything that was worth spending a dollar on. Each time there were 20+ people in the store ravaging through everything. The junk that no one would ever want is the only things that are truly marked down. Everything else has been marked up and listed as 20% off.
