Potomac River what happened today?

Today I fish the potomac did not mark any bait. I did manage 4 fish but no monsters. I didnt here of any 30 to 50 pound fish caught today. Were was the bait? Why didnt anyone mark fish? Is it over before it began?:cool2:

My experience was the same as yours. The only thing I can add is that our three fish had immature row. They had not spawned and were not ready to do so.

My wife and I spent 4 hours trolling in the in the Colonial Beach area. Water was pretty brown This was our first time out in that area trolling so we had low expectations. Water was pretty brown in that area. No hit, did spot a few on the graph. When I returned to the dock one of the guys sitting there told me that the other boats that had returned met with similar results.

I just dont understand why there wasn't any bait? My biggest fish was 22lbs. I cnat remember a spring season that started like this. I hope it gets better but I dont expect it to.:confused:

Same report as everyone else. One fish 18". Beautiful 2 days on the river. Wish there was more action.

I thought my fish finder was broken, did not pick up bait marks all day long and only a few marks from what appeared to be large fish. Got skunked on Saturday and only one fish Sunday morning of 36 inches. I hope next weekend will be better.
