Upper Potomac Smallie Trip

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. im trying to plan a drift trip on the upper potomac for some smallies in late may. my buddy & i are going to use a canoe, and im looking for a little info on put ins, access, etc. Any help would be appreciated.

You have lots of possibilities. I mostly fish the section from Brunswick MD towards D.C. Brunswick to point of Rocks is a great float. If water is high, you must be careful. However, this is an easily floated part of the river. You can easily do this float in less than one day. I would take my time, or extend float to either Noland's Ferry or Mouth of the Monocacy ramps.

Further west
A beautiful and wild float is Paw Paw WV to Litte Orleans MD.
this is beautiful trip, but it is more like a two day trip. You can get a local to drive you back to Paw Paw at Little Orleans.
