Anyone know if the croakers have started running in the Lafayette River yet?
Looking to do some dock fishing next weekend if they're around.

My buddy fished there today and didn't catch anything . Then he pulled his boat out and jumped in mine and we tried nob the mmbt and the jrb and never got a bite. We headed a couple miles up the james river and fished the incoming in about 8' of water and caught a bunch of croaker and small blue cats. Biggest blue was maybe 3-4 pounds and one big croaker with the rest being mixed.Should be heating up over there soon though.

Theres some nice ones in the james.....a few puppy drum and trout.....shrimp and silver sides in the stomachs
