Quality vs. Quantity Flounder

Left crab creek this morning with McCrae. Other ho bailed in the middle of the night and left me high and dry with just an e-mail. Anyway... Went to the mouth of the bay. Water was still a little dirty there. Found one dink and a couple dogs. Patience ran out and we ran to some clean water I had found on a scouting trip yesterday. Started trolling the edge of a deep channel and WHAM... McCrae hooked up with a 23" flounder. While I unhooked that fish and we were still moving quess what, Bam... there was another flounder the same size on the other rod. Worked that area but only dinks. Tried the other side of the channel and shortly hooked up with another 21" er. That's about it... Had trouble with a faulty trim switch and we had to move around with kicker motor stuck in the down position. That sucked and the bite today sucked, but we were happy to bring something home.

Pretty Work Mike. I went out to the 3rd and the 4th yesterday and caught 7 dogfish. It looks like flounder fishing has been slow this weekend.

Spent Saturday out at the bend with a crew of 3 more with no catching results, so ya done good!

Got the same type of "ho" problem - couldn't get a crew together for Sunday and SWMBO was trying to kick me out of the house. Something about getting my money's worth with the new rides.

Also, something about flounder costing her about $65,000.00 a pound right now. Any "ho" that can bait a hook right now is worth their weight! :yes:

So, any given Saturday and/or Sunday "Hawg's Heaven" will be out there.
