I have an 03 silverado that has a babied 59,000 miles on it. Recently, every-now-& then when I accelerate from sitting still it seems like the transmission kind of stutters to accelerate. I give it gas, it hesitates and sort of sputters like it's trying to get into gear. Any info or feedback on this issue is greatly appreciated.

How does it act after it gets going? My 03 acts up like that when the rotor and distributer cap are worn.

once it's going it's fine; it has only done it a couple of times. The engine is a 5.3L V8. Another thing I may add; is that I don't drive this vehicle often.

If you haven't change your fuel filter try changing it. Had a simaler problem with my 96 chevy. The engine couldn't get the rpms to complete the shift. It was a great $8 fix.
