I'm going to the beach for a few days on 7/4. Does anybody have any experience with bass fishing ponds in the Corolla, NC
outbanks area ? I am not taking my boat, so exploring Carrituck Sound is not possible.

In years past I have unexpectedly found neighborhood ponds to fish in Bethany Beach that contained nice bass. It would be great if I found something on the outerbanks.

Why wouldn't you try the surf? It would be a little different for sure, but it might be fun too. I love catchin bass too, but when in Rome.....

You could try tossing a 1/2 oz jighead with a 3-4 inch green curly tail for blues, trout, flounder, redfish. You may be surprized.

corolla used to have great bass ponds right near the light house untill they put a "putt-putt" and all those "mc mansions" up there.

I lived down there a few summers in 90, 91; there still might be some holes over by where the hunting lodge is (was).
It's worth it to look, there's lunkers in them there ponds!

p.s. watch out for the snakes; tons of them
