Well, I guess the damage was about to happen sooner or later but while giving a tour of our MG lighthouse this past week; we had the boat tied up next to the lighthouse and suddenly the winds increased to 50 knots and shifted 180 degrees. We have a weather vane on top of the lighthouse and was actually watching the wind speed at the time. Unfortunately, our Parker 2120 cabintop took some damage from the attached steel ladder to the lighthouse. Take a look at the picture attached to see the damage done.

Does anyone know of a good repair shop to get this fixed? I would like to get it back looking brand new again. Please respond or bmail me. Thanks!!

So I'm guessing your the person who purchased that light house by the MMBT. Some guys in my club wanted to get together and buy it but we never got organized. Do you stay weekends in the place and how do you keep your boat while tied up away from the light house?

Second Craig Bosmans. He just did a perfect repair job on my boat as well as bottom paint and detail for a very fair price. Very good guy...his quote is what you pay or less, and sticks with his timetable for the work.

His website is Coastal Fiberglass llc - Virginia - North Carolina (http://www.coastalfiberglassllc.com/)

I have to say that I am impressed with this guy. He is an incredible mechanic and also does nice fiberglass work! Call Richard Eckhardt from Boatman Inc 757-692-4828. Reasonably priced and very good at what he does!

Thanks for all the responses! If it weren't for this board, I would have gone with the mechanic to make the repairs and who knows how that would have turned out. This website is proving to be a really valuable asset for local boating information!! Thanks again everyone!

We took the boat to Red at Custom Fiberglass on Warwick Blvd because he was close and recommended. He did an outstanding repair at a reasonable price and had it back to us the next day. There were a lot of good people to choose from. We could not be more pleased. Bob Gonsoulin - Brad's dad.

Try Bob Davis at Davis Boat Works in Ashland, VA. He does all of the warranty work for Mid Atlantic Marine in Warsaw. He installed two custom casting decks on our Parker 21 SE and 23 SE. You can get his telephone number on the web. Good luck.
