Drum off fisherman's Island

Had 2 groups of guys report to us at Chris' Bait and Tackle some catches of red and black drum

one group caught 3 nice size black drum (50lb class) outside fishermans (on at boat)

The other group had 2 large bull reds, one 50" plus and one about 42" off the surf of Smith Island.

:thumbup: yep, we saw them yesterday.
i was paddling right next the shoal and saw the color.. with sand boils. i stood up and 6-8 reds were rutting. i wasn’t rigged with a crab so i casted a gulp and had one fallow to the boat and cut away.
i spend the next hour of slack current IN the shoals standing and looking.
we caught dogs for the rest of the evening.
water temp was 62 on the incoming
