Decided to hit the 1st in the yaks for a little end of season tog action. We hit the usual spots and picked up a couple but a slow bite compared to usual. We go ahead and anchor over the tubes with the other 5-6 boats. Fished for about 5 minutes when a boat by the name of "Born to Run" shows up. This guy decides to drift up current of everyone anchored. One guy driving the boat and another fishing off the stern. Well the captain decides to go in the cabin while his boat is quickly drifting right towards the boat anchored to my right. The other guy on the boat is still fishing watching his boat aiming right towards this other boat. He is not even 20 ft away and says his friend will be back up in a second to steer out of the way. Well the idiot finally gets back to the wheel and continues on hitting the anchored boat beside me. They assess there damage and "Born to Run" drives off. He comes back over so they could exchange insurance info and sure enough the dude is 5ft in front of me about to slam right into my anchored kayak. Some how I managed not to get knocked off my yak and the guy bumps past me and is now headed right toward my buddies anchored yak. The guy ends up hitting him and tangles his prop in my buddies anchor line. He starts dragging him sideways almost flipping him over but manages cutting his anchor line with a knife just in time. So this guy just drives off, obviously can't drive a boat or is flat out wasted. He stays in the area long enough for the coast gaurd to show up. Looked like they were with them for quite some time. Hopefully justice was served to this guy. We fish out there a hell of a lot on our yaks and never have any type of confrontations with boats like this. Fortunately we were able to continue fishing and end up getting into a few nice ones around the bridge. Caught some average 17-20ers, lots of fat females in the mix and I kept one male that was about 9lbs. We get back to the beach to chix around sunset and find that my buddies truck was towed out of Alexanders parking lot after he paid them $5 to park there. He goes in the restraunt to see why his truck was towed and the owner says "Good!, you shouldnt be parked in the lot after 4pm" She has a real shitty attitude and basiclly doesnt care that he was legally parked there as he paid the fee. We looked around and there was no signs up stating anything about parking till 4 pm. There were plenty of other beach goers there who were still parked there, about 8 pm and their vehicles werent being towed. The owner of this place obviously only cares about getting paid and screwing over her paying customers. Great way to do business! Needless to say something seriously needs to be done about public parking in this area for beachgoers and fisherman as there is basiclly no parking around and everyone seems to think they own this public section of beach around the CBBT. Sorry for such a long rant but felt the need to remind everyone that its spring and the warm weather is bringing out the unexperienced weekender boaters. Its time to go drum fishing away from the madness!
