Has anyone been there? I am thinking about taking my son up in April on Spring Break. I've heard its good fishing but I can't find anyone that has been there recently. Also what tackle and bait works?

Lots of trout in Moomaw - seems to be the target species. In spots it's amazingly deep and very steep. Usually those guys troll, but in summer, apparently the topwater can be good for bass and trout and whatever. I think they catch alot of smallies farther up toward the river inlets, they seem to prefer a bit of water movement -

Look at the freshwater board. Some of those guys have been recently. There are some posts.
