Fighting a bad cold but i took the boat out sat to make sure the new water pump was working. fished two hrs. caught two bass.
first was a 3 lber.
Second was hard to get to the boat , it went from one side of the boat to the other, around the trolling motor under the boat a couple a times. All the time i'm thinking this dont feel like a bass its staying to deep and rolling around to much to be a bass . Its got to be a big cat.
Well it weighted 8 lbs 4 oz.
And it was a bass.
The first one was a buck and went in the live well for a grease bath and the other one was released.
Both caught on a 4"clown color husky jerk.
Was'nt feeling to good because of the cold so i only fished 20 mins. after the big one.
water temp. 48 and windy as hell.

Thanks for the report. Do you mind sharing where you launched and what area your fished? I almost went out on Sat. for the spring shake down, but it was windy and cold, so I stayed home.

I normally put in up the lake because i fish the upper half more.
But i put in at the public ramp sat for a change and to save the $6.
I use to fish all the open tournaments on the lake and would use the whole lake in most tournaments. I stopped about 4 yrs.
I'll tell you where i caught both fish.
The first came out of Lenards cove off the shallow flat in the back on the left. The second was off a blow down in seven springs cove. the only blow down in the cove on the left going in.
Cant say i've ever seen anyone post the spots they have caught fish on any other post.
I talked to 3 other boats at the ramp and noone else admited to catching anything.
Dont ever stay at home because the winds blowing on chesdin. Or because it's raining. The best days i've ever had the wind was blowing 15 to 40 and some of those day's it was raining too.
