It looks crappy for the weekend. Keep an eye on it as the NNAC Trophy Rockfish Tournament might get postponed.

Doesn't look that bad....... 40% chance of rain.

Rain without wind is OK. If we have a small craft advisory, the tournament is off.

The Weather Service forecast for the weekend at this time would call for Small Craft Advisory winds on Saturday. If this forcast continues the NNAC Trophy Rockfish Tournament could be cancelled for Saturday. Sunday's forecast calls for lessening winds and if that continues the tournament will be a go for Sunday. Keep tuned for further developments.

Wind probably won't blow at all. Never trust a wind forecast

Why has the weather changed for the weekend?

The weather hasn't changed, it's gonna do what it wants. The only change is the inability to predict it.

Defiant, you are so right. It's enough to drive you nuts trying to guess what the conditions will be.

For NNAC members who are planning to fish the Trophy Rockfish Tournament, sponsored by Bridgette at B.E.S.T. Marine no less, listen to the National Weather Service forecast on your marine radio. If there is a Small Craft Advisory in effect anywhere in the NNAC fishing area(Patomac River and main Bay from Solomons to Cape Charles) from sunrise to 12:00 noon on Saturday that day will be cancelled. At this point, Sunday looks like a go.

An attempt will be made to post a SCA notice here on Saturday morning.

With Defiant planning on fishing it is bound to blow 40 knots. He keeps helmets and pads onboard because it is going to be sloppy each time we are out.

I know the feeling! Every time I go to Gwynss Island or try to make the cell, it blows its "you know what" off! Got caught at 36 a couple years ago in close to 6' seas...Radio calling for less than 1' all day. Not fun.
