Fished today in the afternoon for about three hours fished above city island in harrisburg near the 81 bridge... water was 40 degrees and clear had 7 smallmouth in that time one a crankbait and the rest on black and blue hairjig with a splitail trailer.. we need some water to bring the river up and the fish are still in late wintering holes and if you catch one you,lll catch a few slow down and be safe and wear the PFD,s tightlines and wet nets to all

That Susky has some great Smallmouth fishing.I knew a guy that would take a vacation week every year in the middle of April to shore fish for Smallmouth in the lower Pa.section.From what I've seen,April & October are the best months for over 2# Bass.Wow're the Walleyes & Muskys doing up there?I'm planning a Kayak float trip on the Juniata early April,for those 3 species.
