View Full Version : Not Many Bass Fisherman?

I am a bass fisherman, but have been busy and haven't managed much fishing time. I did manage to take a walk with my wife and 2 kids around a local lake in Columbia, MD. My 3 y.o. son and I both took our rods. Out of about 30 casts I caught one nice 2.5-3lb largemouth on a white spinnerbait, and he caught a 1.5lb catfish on a white/silver tube(he calls it an octopus).
If I ever get more free time and get out there, I will have some more reports. Let's try to keep this board alive.

hey i agree, lets keep this board alive. i try to post every time i fish but don't get to many replies back. didn't fish this past weekend because we had a late birthday party for my thirteen year old. gave him a paintball party for him and his friends down in elizibeth city sat. they had a blast. boat is down again. trolling motor problems. last time i fished it rained so hard and so long it fowled a relay switch in the foot pedal. should be fixed by thrusday. hope to fish this weekend.

I agree ! Keep it going with what ever you catch. Glad you had a good time with the family.
I fished Lake Moomaw on Saturday and caught 1 bass about 3lbs. on a live shiner. I heard the trout bite is pretty good trolling but being on a kayak I could'nt get enough speed I guess[grin].
