Smallies in the Rapidan

Canoed from Rt.3 to Fredricksburg in two days.The best fishing was in the first 5 miles with countless 3lb. smallies,big shad and some nice redeyes.The brim were hand size and made great shoreline meals.This was the first time on these rivers and will probably be the last.The fishing was non stop but once we hit the rapids at the Rappahannoc,the fun was over.To old for all that excitement.TIGHT LINES!!!

I seriously doubt "countless 3 lbers" 'cause that's a citation 20" fish in a VA river, but what do I know...

By the way, that's a small river/stream to be posting info about on the internet. Thanks!
