Dredging to close Owls Creek boat ramp in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH
The boat ramp at Owls Creek will be closed May 4 to allow public works crews to start dredging the Lake Wesley entrance channel, the city says.
The ramp will be closed from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., a city news release says.
The dredge area will be from the marinas west of the Rudee Bridge to the lake, the city says. The project is expected to be finished before Memorial Day weekend
Crews will dredge from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week, the release says.
