Which is better? I have heard good things about both, I am worried about the weight of the four stroke and expense of service. I am leaning towards the etec. I have a mako 224. Any opinions.

I have 900 trouble free hours on my twin F225 Yamaha engines. The oil changes and such are worth it to me. If I were in the market, I would consider the weight also. The F225 weighs 584 pounds. A lot of boats won't handle the weight and can be adversely affected. I hear alot of good things about the Etec from military contractors who run them all the time. Good luck whatever you choose.
