I got a text message and a phone call from a buddy who was fishing near the gas docks that a 57" fish was pulled in today. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Weight?
Thanks

Heard it on the radio this morning but I can't confirm the truth of it.

I heard that it was at AC's at Coles Point this evening. Something about "they gave it to them" I'm not sure who would give away a fish that big. I'm sure pictures will surface eventually.

Any pictures? AC's is closed on Monday and Tuesday so will have to wait until tomorrow. Talked to Brittany in the Cole's office and she said she had seen some big fish but not that big and hadn't heard anything.

Just got off the phone with Chris and Ann of AC's Cafe & ports Bar at Cole's Point and he did see it and hold it. She was 51" and 58 lbs. caught by Hap and Nikki Barnes. He is going to get them to send me the pictures.

They all must be giants holding it.
Giants make fish look small, midgets make fish look big, and apparently its not the mercury level but the lead level one needs to worry about in MD stripers.:D

not to judge but it does not appear to be 57"...more like maybe 48"plus looking at those pics...unless the guy standing is 8' tall...but maybe the pic angles are deceiving...
hey, I would still love to catch one like it...

This fish cannot be 57'' long, here is a pic of a 48'' I caught last fall and they almost look identical. If that fish was 57'' long it would put my fish to shame and would standout big time!......Still is a hell of a nice fish!

Sea King god strike me dead right now you can call the owner of Southern Sheetmetal right now and he will tell you how long it was, he was the one who paid for the charter. I have no reason to lie and I am not knocking on the guy who caught the (57'' fish) at all, in my opinion that fish does not look 57''. It must have been a while since you seen a decent size rockfish.
