I have been pacing the floor, the yard, the road, the roof, you name it. Patrick got em good today, great start for the year. I will not sleep for the next 6 months and when I do it will be in brown and white. Now if this #$%^*&^ wind would stop we can go. Im trying to justify 10-15 for 3 hours Friday morning and battling the left over 5-7ft....SCREW IT! If it doesnt change you know where I'll be ;)
BTW check out the website Above Average Sportfishing and Charters - Home (http://www.aboveaveragesportfishing.com)

I would love to book a charter for some cobia and do some sight casting. Does any one one a good charter boat out of hatteras or OI?

Check out Finagle Charters capt Ray is a great guy and runs a sweet boat, a 230 Sea King with twin yams 250's, he can be found on his web site or on this board. (obxfish) give him a shout.

Great post, cant wait till bay season.
Ben, sweet site. Just a suggestion, you might want to include a section/pics of the boats you run, as almost all other charter sites have this info. If I was a potential customer id want to see what I was going out fishing on etc. And while im at it, what hooks do you use when sightcasting eels?

Hamish,
I'll definately add that on to the sight. 8/0 gamakatsu octopus circles have had the best ratio for us.

I may get the ol bashing but.... Custom Sound Charters CAPTAIN RCK CATON May be hard to get a book with though. If everyone is Honest without worring about him being outspoken he is THE BEST with cobia. Little Clam Patrick Caton a close 2nd Both KNOW the waters better than anyone down there.
Of course there is Captain Ben Above Average Sportfishing who catches more than his fair share.

I was thinking the same thing. When I've booked charters long distance, I've always wanted a look at the rig I'll be on. I've skipped a few charters that were on questionable boats. Of course, I'm also the idiot that went out on a local panga style boat in Jamaica.....
:boat:
Hopefully the man in the brown suit makes his way up to the bay by the 7th of June, I'm going to spend 2 straight days with a good friend prowling the bay.
Rick stays booked way in advance for cobia, but like meoff said..give Patrick a call. He is, after all, the guy who caught the ones that this thread is about.
