im interested in buying couple of planer boards.can anyone reccomend local mfg?the commercial stuff i see just doesnt look like it would cut it in the rivers or bay.i fished lower rapp last friday.it was brutal.marked a lot of bait from 11 down to 8 but no bites.there was a parker in same area running planers.seemed to me thats the way to go.

Build your own, quite easy to do. I have plans if you need them.

I don't know the guy but his name is Skip and he posts here regularly. Several posters say he sells nice boards and based on his posts I think he has things pretty well figuered out. Try contacting him.

You can make your own if you have a skill saw and a hand drill. I've made a half dozen sets for friends and myself.

contact Satterly, I pulled the ones he built on my boat with no problems. Even in rough weather. If he builds it, I'm sure he'll give you a fair price.:thumbup: We had them on over 100 ft tether line on each side last Sat. during a small craft advisory with no problems at all.
