I'm really running late trying to get back in the water and my last Spring item is to replace the trim tab anode on my 150. That's stupid all right but not yet the question ...
I need a little help from you guys about the replacement - the tab appears to be fully threaded and a no brainer to replace ... but the tab has a limited range of movement ....

Any ideas or do I just call Jett's ?

Thanks !

How corroded is the anode?

I havent had the need to replace one in a long time, so if it still looks good, take some sandpaper to it and clean it off a bit, then you should be good to go!

You need a long socket to go in through the top to get it off. 5 min with the right tool.

There should be a little cap on the top flat area of the lower unit that if you pry it off and put a long thin extension down with the right socket, you can get the bolt off that screws down into the anode itself- Just replaced both of mine on my 250 4's--- You will also need your motor # if you have a 4 stroke as there are 2 different part #'s on Yamahas (TXR or TUR)

There is also a zinc on the base of the motor mount on most engines. Mine looks like a retangular block. You need to replace that one also. Check with Jett's on the replacement zincs on your motor.
