Was wondering if anyone had fished the chowan, pasquotank or perquimans lately. Heard the white perch were gone from up near winton but they had been catching some near cannon's ferry. Haven't heard much lately out of the perquimans. Couple of white perch, puppy drum, trout and yellow perch but nothing to brag about. All i've heard about in the pasquotank is a couple of white perch and puppy drum. Anyone else heard something i haven't?

I was told today that the Largemouth Bass action was hot on the Chowan river around Snake Island.

You heard right. Fished today and not much to report. Fly fished for bream between rain storms and they didn't bite well either. Mabe later in the week after the cold front.

Went yesterday and fished in between the storms on the Chowan river and managed 4 bass using spinner baits and buzz baits.

Fished yesterday for a an hour or so before the front rolled in. Caught a handful of nice puppy drum. Was catching em right along till a net fisherman came in and set a net right off the beach I was fishing. Then they just quit.

Were you on the Chowan River catching puppy drum? If so, where at? My parents live at Arrowhead Beach and I have only fished for fresh water fish in that area.

I was actually in the Perquimans. Caught em in about 3 feet of water on shrimp. Was fishing about a half mile from the mouth of the river. A commercial fisherman told me he caught some nice trout up to 6.5 lbs near the mouth of the chowan about two weeks ago. Last week I heard he caught two bluefish in the sound. One was 12 and the other was 16lbs.

I have talked to a few people about catching flounder and other saltwater fish near the 32 bridge. Never tried it.

Tried for flatties in P-Tank before all the rain, had a little success in finding them but they were small, I think the rain may push all the salt loving fish out. Any word on crabs moving?

I went Sat morning to Chantily bay before the wind picked up, only 2 rock and 1 white perch but I didn't make it to Duke swamp which is where I wanted to go. Played around Chantily bay waiting on my daughter to meet me but the wind picked up before she got there so we pulled up and went to Sawyers creek, nothing there!

Fished sunday morning till bout 12 on the perquimans. Lots of boats everywhere. Caught about 25-30 white perch and raccoon perch and one puppy drum. Fished from 6:30 to 9 monday morning and caught bout 20 white perch. Once again, boats everywhere. Busy weekend for the boat ramps. Fishing was a little slow, but it could have been a lot worse. All of the perch were caught in at least 8 feet of water. Thought i'd throw that bit of info in there.

I'm heading down to Hertford on Saturday for a week of fishing. I will post reports on the days we get to fish. I packed the camera so there should be some pictures.
