Well, I'm gonna tow down and see what happens. Hope it is not just a long tow down and back without getting out. Early Sat (and maybe Sunday) may be doable from the current forecasts. No doubt will rock and roll. considering all, if Sunday works, its gonna be an early-back day. Want to be inside before the wind goes N at 20-30!!!!

Hi Taylor,

Will keep and ear and eye peeled. Going to try leaving early with the fleet also. Know where the fleet has been heading lately? With the expected seas, they will likely out run me. The SSTs have been pretty obscured by clouds, but it looks like the point might be the best bet -??? Water looks a little cool in and north. Need a tuna/mahi fix and had to give it a try this weekend. Last offshore was last November and all we got was skunk. Jiggers did OK, but I wasn't prepared. I am now!

went out of OI today, probably the last time, OI inlet was nasty, pierced a nice 12' curler that damn near finished us, stood us straight up then broke over the bow put a couple hundred gallons of water in the boat, not good at all...stay to the left when exiting the inlet, the right side by the last green marker is shoaling bad and making these big a$$ breakers, almost got us for real today.

we got about 10 miles out and turned around, got surrounded by squal lines/thunderstorms, made it back to OIFC by 10, no lines in

we saw a 50+ ft charter disappear in a swell in the inlet, it was no joke

I had from Sat till Wed. to fish but I changed my mind about mid-day about towing down.WX not looking to good.
I'll be coming to Kitty Hawk for two weeks starting May 28.Hope to get offshore some.
