Actually, wouldn't the "gift" of an STD be re-gifting?

I have been trained to say thank you for whatever she gives me. It keeps the noise level down. However, I would not be very thrilled about the STD thing.

After 28 years of marriage I get the same gift twice a year; at Christmas and on my birthday. I look forward to it year after year. :clapping2::clapping2:
A cake decorating set.
One day she was watching the food network and they had a cake decorating competition on. I walked through the living room and said "what the hell is so hard about decorating a cake, I could do that." Thus the gift. I returned it the next day and went and bought a dozen Mallard decoys.

Yep me too....separation papers. Took her a year to move out though. Just waiting on the new papers now. Hell, maybe I'll beat her to the punch.

I'll have to say my wife knows me pretty well and I cannot think of anything that stands out as being a bad or dumb gift.

Every gift my wife has given me has been worthless or something that I would never buy or use. SHe purchased me a size 12 shirt last christmas becaused she like the color. I haven't worn a size 12 shirt since 6th grade After thirty years of marrige she still hasn't got a clue of what to buy me. What makes it worst my wife does not produce any kind of income so the stuff she buys for me is with my (ours) ( as she would state it) money. I have finally conviced her to stop buying things for Christmas, birthdays etc etc. She is simple as long as its expensive has good cut, wieght and clarity or drives me crazy like the damn dog she's a happy camper.

I gave my wife a plastic worm making kit for her birthday quite a few years ago. Went out to get her a gift and got sidetracked in sporting goods. Completely forgot why I went out in the first place. Was gone for hours. When I got back home she was standing at the door with her hands on her hips (never a good sign). She said, "I sent the babysitter home a half hour ago!" Did a mention I was going to take her out for dinner for her birthday as well? So what else could I do? I handed her the bag with the kit in it and said, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY Dear!" I'm still paying for that one.

I'm the same way with trying to find something for the wife so I make sure she gives me a list or if she mentions something she wants I write it down. This past christmas I just went down her list and I purchased everthing she wanted. I got this real dumb idea to buy something not on the list and purchased her one of those remote car starters as I thought it would be nice for her to have with a baby. Man those things have like 50 wires to hook up and its still sitting in the garage.

My wife does good with getting me gifts. Everything she gets me i can use in some way. I'm easy though. I have a lot of hobbies that she can choose from. She's even bought me a minnow trap. Now I'm the one that gives the bad gifts. I struggle for hours in the stores trying to find something she will like and then whatever I get she doesn't like anyhow. I now do the list thing. As long as I stick to her list then she's happy.

Wife usually does pretty good. She bought me a boat last year, afterall.
My wife's grandmother, however, sends me cheap, useless crap. Stuffed cartoon characters that you suction cup to a window. Really bad and uncomfortable christmas socks. If its the thought that counts, tell me you're thinking of me instead of sending useless crap.

I for one cannot say any thing bad about her seventeen years ago she gave a wonderful son, my fishing buddy for life. And two years ago she bought me a new boat, and a truck to pull it with. and this year will be nineteen years of marriage. and it only gets better as time goes by. i'm one lucky man and still in love with that woman !!!!! mexman
