Got a late start out of broad creek waiting for some nova fishermen.. wind was blowing NE... fish bait in and around stingray and stovepoint. put some croaker in the well.. About noon it started to lay down a litttle, so headed for 42.. drifted acorss the hole 2 times at the end of the out going, no luck.. headed in near the cell and made 3 drifts mostly west at the ebb,, no luck called it a day at 4:30.. on the way back in it realy lay down flat as a pancake coming back in the rapp.... You all should be in for some nice conditions the next few day .... go get em !!! I gota go back to work next 4 days

Croaker bite was steady in the rapp... radio sounded like they were getting em in all the normal spots, head boats were around stingray in the morning ..... I did troll some striper stuff around WMB and buttlers hole with no takers... best fishing the last 2 weeks has been @ the CBBT

So what is the opinion on flatties in the rapp? Most everyone I talk with say you have to go out to 42 or the cell area to get any with size... is it a waste of time trying in the rap area?

We have caught plenty in the rapp around late june/july. Size is the only issue, 90% of the ones we caught were all under 18". There are legal ones in there, you just have too weed through all the smaller ones. We usually catch bluefish and use big slabs of bluefish for bait. There are def. more fish with size out there but a much longer run.
