Rumor of new state record Blue

I heard of a 102 pound Blue cat weighed at Green Top live and then released back in the James by a fellow from Lexington. Hope its true!:clapping2:

I was at Green Top's yesterday and they were all talking about it.

The 2 anglers put in at Dutch Gap on the James River. The Bluecatfish was caught in the vicinity of Turkey Island on cut shad. Angler using 30-pound test. Biologist said fish was in a pre-spawn pattern and loaded with eggs. Supposedly the fish was released back into the James at Deep Bottom after certification. 102 pounds...!!!:bigfish:

Just heard it on the radio.......WRVA said it was 102 lbs 4 oz.....Congratulations to the two guys who caught it and released it...Way to go........:thumbup:......Hope they took pics :yes:

Bob the Mailman grabbed the net cause the cat flew when he hit the whole shad(whoops)! We obviously thought it was bigger - duh !

I was a Castaways today and they had pics and said it was weighed there it was a monster. Good to see it go back.
