Potomac River smack down

Fished with some friends yesterday in a small tournament, the Outlaw Rockfish Shootout. A shotgun start at 6 and we were off we boated around 25 fish from 28 -32 inches with a few 14-19 inches no big fish but what an awesome day. It didn't matter what baits we used they all were working. On friday evening I did change all my baits to some smaller stuff and had my limit and then some in about 10 minutes.

I haven't had to go that far south to find fish but figured we would try something different looking for that one last monster before putting all the big stuff away. I have been finding alot of fish north of Ragged Point so I may try some live lining or chumming there. We will see what happens I have never done that in the river only in the Bay hopefully it will pan out.

Let me know how it goes I'm heading down to colonial beach this weekend and just wondering what to do and where to go.
