Saw a boat upside down around lunch time near the mouth of the Nansemond river today. There was someone taking pix nearby that said there were two passengers on the boat last night and it caught on fire. Sounded like both boaters jumped in the drink and made it out o.k. I'll try to post a pix of it later if I can get it working. We trolled the JRB and got our limit on 3 ways. All mid 20" fish, same thing as yesterday. This slow moving current has got to go! Thanks for the bait hookup Randy @ Pop's bait and tackle.

I heard a boat call the CG around noon today on CH 16 to report a capsized boat in the Nansemond. They asked the guy for a cell phone number so they could call him to discuss and I didn't hear anything else after that.

I had a guy come into the shop (I work for Wilcox in NN) and said he saw what looked like a boat on fire on the suffolk side of the MMBT yesterday... so that would be in about the right spot. He was driving across the bridge and saw lots of black smoke coming from a boat up river.
