Does anybody live in or near Edgewater who has a Lowrance GPS with a LGC-2000 antenna? I recently installed an LRA-1800 radar and might have fried the LGC-2000. The GPS worked perfect until I changed the radar range to a larger scale. My GPS antenna is about 4 inches or so above the radar. When looking around the dock there are a number of other boats who have their GPS antenna closer to their radar then mine. But either case, I’m getting the GPS Module Not Responding message.
I’m hoping that someone near or in Edgewater has a Lowrance setup with the LGC-2000 antenna that I can try my antenna on to verify that it’s the antenna. It should be easy to check since the LCG-2000 has a cable connector only about a foot from the antenna. No need to pull anything apart, just disconnect your cable and plug in mine to see if it works.

Thanks in advance, Jim P/

Jim,
Get over to boaters world TODAY in Annapolis. They have TWO available for CHEAP. I think they were $45. They also have TWO LRA2000's for $332. These are GRAET deals!!

The last software update for the GM3500 was back in Nov of 07. Thanks for the heads up about Boaters World. I ended up biting the bullet, I went out and bought a HDS 5M from BOE. It should show up today.
