Can I freeze razor clams and still use them successfully for crabbing?:helpsmilie:

No, once you freeze them, they die.

they can be used for bait but will only last about an hour.

I froze them and used them one time.
They will catch, but will not last very long, as opposed to fresh (unfrozen) clams that can be used several times over depending on water temp. and destruction by crabs, minnows, and other predators.

Freezing destroys their cellular structure and makes them easier to disintegrate.
