Gander Mountain Gossip!!!!!!!!

I was at Gander Mountain the other day and noticed that once again their Marine supplies are dwindling. I asked a clerk if they were getting anymore (Marine Stable). He stated that he did not know because they are closing down the Marine section and the ATV section. He explaiend that they will still carry fishing equipment/supplies. They even have returned all the Mako boats from the front parking lot. They are eliminating these 2 sections from their store.

I advised him that Boaters World across the street was closing and that I was surprised that they would be getting out of the marine business also. He said that they weren't making any money off the marine and ATV sections so they are closing them down.

I wonder whats going to happen to the hunting section if the economy is as bad as it is???????????

That's a shame! Now there is nowhere to get marine supplies around here. Maybe now with nowhere to buy them I can save some $$ to buy ammo that has multiplied in price lately!

From what I heard, the BW store was profitable, so surprised to hear that GM won't be taking over that business.

With that said, I can't say I'm surprised. The GM store has always sucked pretty badly in my opinion. Terrible rod and reel selection.

When I worked there we had the best selection in the ES area bar none .
