Had a group from Winston-Salem on board Sat. and we really had a blast. The stripers were turned on for most of the day till 2pm when we quit. Total of 16 stripers and 5 blues.
All stripers returned to the lake to be caught again hopefully. The fish seamed to like the nice herring that was caught fresh that morning. 24 feet on the down lines was the magic number. I also had 2 free lines out at 50 feet with one large split shot that was also paying off. Teacher and Baitbucket, I saw yall above me. Hope yall had the same luck.
Its about time to start trolling for schooling fish but I dont troll and dont like to put back fish that I know will die. So I have about 2 weeks more to live bait and I will start targeting big blues.

Hey, Ramrod. I think I saw you a couple of times Saturday. I was catching bait when you pulled up and heard you say something about your ear. I was over to the side drawing the bait in with my green light. They were some pretty herring (or alewife?)! Also had you drift by with your party later on. I was in the old Dixie and gave you a holler. Glad to hear y'all had some action. I did manage a keeper and even kept a couple eating size blues and a nice white bass. Also had plenty of small fish to keep me busy... Beautiful day on the water!

Thanks for the:rockingreport: RR! I hope to have my boat back this week. It's nice to sit back and know The Doctor is taking care of it. I hope to see you later this week and I will bring some garden goodies:yes: Tight lines buddie!

went out this morning at light and had a ball.....25 fish all on live bait.I found two good size schools this morning and when I left them at 10:30 they were still there..
