Pamlico sound

I will be going to avon in july and plan to do a little fishing in the pamlico sound. I like using artificial lures. What should I go for and what works well down there? Anything will help.

Canadian hole is just south side of Avon, south end of the new day use area....fish it early and late day before the nazi windsurfers get going...no need for a boat just keep walking out to you get to the drop off, speck heaven... ... throw gulps on light jig heads....

hey hunter, i looked around on here for a couple of hours the other day and found some baits that supposedly work really well down there and printed the pictures off and everything...i would tell you now but my dad has seemimgly misplaced them...we will def. go to dick's before we head down there

We had a great time in the Canadian hole last year in July in our kayaks. Berkley gulps and paddle tail bass assassins on small jig heads. We even caught some slot reds on the pin-fish we caught on the sand bars around the Canadian hole. Stop in RED DRUM tackle for bait for the pin fish and the latest fihing info
