Haven't been able to get out much lately but the opportunity presented itself for a few hours this afternoon. First stop, the relatively new reef in the Mobjack Bay (since I only had a few hours), tons of bait showing on the scope, only croaker bites. Picked up and ran over to the York Spit reef and picked up 24" and a 20" on the first drift. two more drifts and only 2 shorts to show for it. The flies had almost removed all of the flesh from my legs, so I headed in. Bait of choice were electric chicken gulps on a 2 or 3 oz jighead.

Yes, they will tear you up.
Not laughing at ya but last year we lost a lot of blood also. Forgot the repellent. OUCH !:D
Glad you got some fish !

Nice job! Electric chicken has been HOT for the flounder the last few weeks.

I was at the 3rd island of cbbt today and the flies were horrible there too.

Glad you caught a few fish!! It's a toss up. Windy day = fewer flies but rougher water. Calm day = nicer ride but donate blood to the cause!!

You don't happen to have the coords for that new reef do you? I'm on the Mobjack for the summer and plan to spend plenty of time out on the water.
