Took my new neighbor here in Lewes out of IRI on my boat at 8:00am and headed for "B" Buoy. Caught 100+ of sea bass. Took home 18 humpbacks for a couple of dinners.

Bait of choice was ordinary squid and some Shedder flavored Squid. Caught a few on green crab & sandfleas left over from yesterday.

We were in about 75 ft of water. Also caught one shark and too many sea robins.
Talked with some guys out there who picked up some flounder on squid & minnows.
Another great day to be on the water!!

Hey Reef Runner,

Sounds like a great day on the water! I usually fish out of OC but there's a good chance I'll be keeping my boat in IR. Is the "B Buoy" on a chart? How far from the inlet are you talking? Are there any wrecks or artificial reefs there? Any info would be appreciated....my 6 and 8 yr old expect that Cap'n Dad put them on the fish EVERY TIME!

Havn`t fished there this year yet.I usually spend the first week in June at Bethany, but we didn`t do it this year."B" bouy is 90 o of IRI about 12 miles out.

Bucktails try this

This might help you in finding reefs in the area.[wink]
