i have never fished for them before and was wondering where to look. I will be starting from lynhaven, in 20 ft centerconsole sea craft so it cant be anywhere crazy but from my knowledge they ar cauhgt on shoals or in pretty shaloow water.

Thanks

If you can get to the NAC meeting Monday night the speaker is talking about sight casting for cobia.

Around the CBBT, alond the ocean front..later in the summer they will be on the buoys marking the channels. Look for the rays and you will usually find some cobia swimming with them.

If you want to attend a Presentation on Cobia Fishing, the Norfolk Anglers Club is having Captain Ben speak on that very subject on Monday Night. It's free to the public, you do not have to be a member to attend.

Capt. Ben is a Phenominal Cobia Fisherman.

Put in at Rudee Inlet - Catch some bait in the inlet - just aroud the corner from the ramp use a bottom rig & catch some small spots - take them out of the inlet - head out south east about 2 miles & work off of the antenna towers - put out some balloon rigs at anchor - anywhere along the beach from Rudee south to Sandbridge will produce - you can bottom fish or cast plugs while your ballon rigs are out. Easy & effective - good luck....Dave
