Not sure how FishingAddiction did but my son and his buddy had their shallow water Key West Sportsman out this weekend on the Rapp and caught quite a few reds, striper and flounder casting gulps and assasins in the early morning. Some of the striper were keepers and two of the reds were close at 17". Quite a few under size flounder with one big keeper flattie (in their opinion) that broke off at the side of the boat. All fish taken on artificials in and around pilings, piers, grasses, structures, etc. in 10' or less of water. Also surprised at the number of large croaker taken on Gulps in those same spots.

Josh, his buddy Chase, Will and I did the Carotaman Sunday morning as we killed the Rocks, drum and specks there about this time last year. We fished 2 hours and left with a skunk. Sound like I should have stayed close to home from slatedogs report. We did pull the day out with two keeper flounder a 21 and 19.5 with many throwbacks. Stopped on a croaker hole for good measure for about 30 minites to and caught 15 croaker to make the cooler look fuller. We also had a keeper flounder Saturday with about 12 throw backs. Josh and I are going to do more light tackle this year as the red drum really came back in good numbers last year for us.

sorry for the delay guys! Ive had a busy week with the little one and work. My little guy cut his foot in the river and had to go to rapp regional hospital for stitches sunday. Anyway, i ended up just farting around on the grass flats and managed several nice reds and tons of big croaker on gulp. My focus shifted this weekend to make sure the little guy caught his first fish, and he did just that!! I am going back down Sat night but prob wont do too much fishing, more relaxing is in order this weekend.
Sounds like alot of fun. If I may ask......what part of the Rapp are you working?
Down around the mouth & bridge or farther up river. Thanks for the info.
