Heading to Hatteras Sat.

Going to take the boat down to Hatteras this Sat and looking at the weather, I am wondering if I should go on the outside or take it down the Intercoastal. Or should I wait until next weekend (have to work all week) and then hope the weather improves for an outside trip so I can fish also. Will be leaving from York River........

Any suggestions?

It all depends on wind direction. It can actually be easier going the outside close to the beach with a west wind. The sound can chop up a bit and is slower going, especially at night. On the outside you can troll for Spanish on the way down. Brine a few of them for marlin baits. The rest will make a great evening meal on your first night there. Most of the restuarants down there will fix them up anyway you like.
