Got a 03 LF225TURB that is not peeing water after changing water pump and thermostats. Checked discharge hose up to where it goes in to what I believe is the rectifier cooling block, you can blow through it and it's clear. Got it sitting in drum of water, no pee stream, tried it on muffs, no pee stream...any suggestions before take itto someone?

I had the same problem and you will NOT LIKE THE FIX!!!

DEFECTIVE YAMAHA EXHAUST PLATES.

Here's the post:

If this is your problem and you are out of warranty, YAMAHA will be USELESS to help you out.

The good news is the replacement parts are supposed to be corrected and once fixed you should be good to go.

I'm hearing almost all of the 2002-early 2004 motors will have an exhaust FAILURE.

Yep, I was following your post with great interest. Sooo, Yamaha wouldn't do anything for you? What am I looking at for repairs, roughly?

Depending on number of motors (if you have duels, both will more than likely need the fix) the labor it takes to pull it apart, the parts, CHA CHING.. I'll pm you what I was quoted and paid.

I hope you do not need the fix...
