I plan on hitting the inlet next week. Any pointers and would I need a license?

No license needed. Bring lots of tackle> The current is really swift, if you like to fish at night, eels are the ticket right now> There have been quite a few croakers coming over the rail as well. I really recommend fishing in the PM right now due to the heat and constant boat traffic. Good Luck and tight lines!

I second the "bring alot of tackle". I will be down there this weekend fishing in the early AM, and will report if I do any good. Black bucktails tipped with a plastic worm are also working now, but the best bet is still live eels.

I have done well with 1oz bucktails with 6" worms in the past. Also #15 Tony Accetta spoons for bluefish. Tough on tackle, being the best fishing is usually casting up current keeping the lure tight to the rocks. Lance [wink]

Thanks for the tips. I fished there a few years ago and remeber losing alot of my favorite lures. But it provides an excuse to get some more.[wink]
